Welcome to AAODS | Abergavenny Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society

AAODS (short for Abergavenny Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society) was established in 1911. We have a long proud history, which you can read more about by clicking here.

Our society is split into two sections; a Junior Section (Ages 7-18) and a Senior Section (Age 14+). We perform in the Borough Theatre in Abergavenny and tickets can be bought through their website for our upcoming shows.

AAODS is a member of NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association), the major representative body for amateur theatre in the UK.

Junior Section | Ages 8-18

Our Junior Section has produced excellent shows in the Borough Theatre over the last few years. The production of Les Misérables (Student Edition) in 2008, won 'Best Youth Production in Wales and Ireland', awarded by NODA.

The most recent production by the AAODS Junior Section was the Wizard of Oz, in November 2011.
